Late Summer: The perfect time for a Mermaid romance! Siren's Call.

Siren's Call (Dark Tides Book 1) by [Quinn, Devyn]

Without the Best Books - Two Thumbs Up book review page on Facebook, I would never have found out about this book. Best Books link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/243199719356829/

Mermaids have always fascinated me. In fact, my girlhood friend and I used to play the fisherman and the Mermaid back in the Sixties. When I saw The Siren's Call, I couldn't resist, especially when the ebook is only $1.99.

What's it about?

Lighthouse keeper Tessa Lonike savors her solitude on Little Mer, an island off the coast of Maine, guarding her true identity as a mermaid. But when Tessa spots a man thrashing around in the ice cold waters during a storm, she must use her ability as a mermaid to pull him to shore.

A year later, when Kenneth Randall meets the woman who saved his life, he's determined not to let Tessa slip away. But when Tessa'a archaeologist ex-lover comes back to town with a clue to her heritage, she may be forced to leave her happiness behind.

I like the idea of this book so much, I am going to buy it and review it. Care to join me?

The first of the Seaside Cafe Mysteries: Live and Let Chai! Drink up!

Live and Let Chai (Seaside Café Mystery #1)

"By the sea, by the sea, by the beautiful sea,
You and me, you and me, oh how happy we'd be".

The Cozy Mysteries website never fails to deliver good reading. And during vacation season, I thought a seaside mystery would be an exciting read.

Life hasn't been so sweet for Everly Swan over the past couple of years, but now that she is back in her seaside hometown and the proud owner of a little iced tea shop and café right on the beach, things are finally starting to look up—until a curmudgeonly customer turns up dead on the boardwalk. With one of her hallmark glass tea jars lying right next to him and an autopsy that reports poison in his system, it doesn't look good for Everly or her brand new business.
As the townspeople of Charm, formerly so welcoming and homey, turn their back on Everly, she fights to dig up clues about who could have had it in for the former town councilman. With a maddeningly handsome detective discouraging her from uncovering leads and a series of anonymous attacks on Everly and her business, it will take everything she's got to keep this mystery from boiling over.
