My blogs are back. Malware problems are over. Back online next week.

I'm sorry, but my browser was infected last week when I went on Amazon to check out a new release. First I had a dialog box telling me that I needed to run one of their security scans right away. I know from experience that this is a red flag for malware. I closed out my browser and went to uninstall the software that loaded. Whatever program it was disappeared without the uninstall engine running, very hinky.

Then, two days later, my husband told me that the computer was taking a really long time to come on. We tried watching some streaming TV and got a spamm ad featuring online gambling and a video of some girl trying to sell me something. I looked up the malware and it's called Great Deals specializing in hijack ware.

Although Microsoft Security Essentials are supposed to protect my computer, it let a Trojan Horse get in. I installed Norton Antivirus Software via Comcast and now my computer is safe again.
